The EOVC Air Force 17U Girls headed southwest on April 17th to compete in the OVA 17U Girls Tier 2 Ontario Championships at RIM Park in Waterloo.  The girls did their best over the 3 day event to battle past some of the better teams in the province, but came up empty-handed, after a tough 3-set loss in the playoff round on Day 3.

According to Cliff Woods, “It was a long year for this group of talented athletes. Injuries, coaching and player changes were just some of the things they faced this season. However, in the face of all of this, these wonderful young women played to the best of their abilities and with determination and passion. They represented themselves, their parents and the EOVC in a positive manner. You should be proud of what you accomplished this year. It was once again an honour and privilege to coach you this season.”

He added, “A huge Thank You to Laura and Justin for all the work and time spent coaching this group this year. You both should be very proud of what you did for these girls.”

Thanks to everyone who helped make this season such an amazing adventure for the girls. Club volleyball does not happen without the help of the volunteers and the commitment of the parents.  Both Air Force teams had that this year. Here’s to keeping things going towards even more success in 2015-2016!
